Festive Table Runner

My parents are coming in for dinner tonight! I'm really excited and in preparation I started to clean. But our beautiful table wasn't really in the spirit even with the mini fiber optic tree sitting at the one end. So I decided to make a fun festive table runner. It has a bit of a retro feel too it with the piping and applique. I also lined it with a thermal interfacing, so that if someone was to put a hot plate or bucket of ice on the runner it will act as a hot pad. Hope to have this type of item for sale in Milford soon. But if you need anything just let me know. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

snow flakes

SNOW DAY!! I am now on my second snow day this week... It's been amazing. I've made handbags, wrapped gifts, baked Christmas Cookies, sent out Christmas cards, and taken a cat nap. Oh and gave my husband and early Christmas gift so we could play scrabble. Hopefully I'll find my camera cord soon so I can upload some pictures for everyone. So hang in there and stay warm. And love the snow.

A unique gift for Christmas:

The gift of sewing

For the person on your Christmas list who is creative, hands-on, crafty, hard to buy for, or always looking for something new to do, finally the answer… Sewing Lessons.

They can join me, local fashion designer and teacher, in discovering a new talent or brush up on their sewing skills. Classes are small to give you individualized attention. You can pre-purchase on the classes set up to kick off this January or create a class of your own. The create-a-class can be tailored to what you and your friends or family wants to learn. (Minimum number of sewers need for a class is three, maximum of five.) Just contact me to work on the curriculum and reserve studio space as soon as possible.

Each Sewing Gift is $100 and which includes four weeks of sewing lessons. (It does not include the small supply fee that differs with each class.) Lessons can be purchased today at the counter, just inform them which class you will be registering for and please leave a contact email to receive supply list, updates, and further class information. To find out more, set up your own class, or any other questions please contact me, Cassie, by either grabbing a business card, or emailing me at Cassandra.Donovann@gmail.com.

Vintage Apron Sewing Lessons

For: Anyone creative and ready to learn... and wants to look this happy cooking.

Time: Mondays 4pm-6pm January 10th- February 7th (With no class Martin Luther King Day)

Project: Vintage Aprons

Get creative making a unique vintage inspired apron. The sky will be the limit when it comes to making an apron like this. After all, the more fun the apron is, the more enjoyable cooking at home will be! You will learn to work from a purchased pattern, embellish and add interesting details to your garment, and play with color and patterns. It will be a great way to brighten up those dreary days ahead of us this winter. This can be adjusted for any sewing level so only a creative and good attitude is required!

I encourage you to bring a sewing machine you have some access to, this way after the class you can continue sewing on a machine you are familiar with. However, machine rental will be available.

To register just take this to the front desk. Be sure to leave a contact number and more importantly a working EMAIL address. This is so you can receive a supply list and any additional information.
