Summer Weddings
Two weekends ago a lovely girl named Taryn got married. I had the privilege to make 13 bags for her to give out on her wedding day. I tried to capture the essence of her wedding in each bag so the whoever received this would always remember Taryn and her beautiful day. I wasn't able to attend the wedding, but my family was there and able to talk with some of the attendants family. They were so impressed with the bags and how each girl received a bag that spoke directly to her. It seems to just work out that way. I try to incorporate a few different styles within the realm of the wedding so that personalities can line up with handbags. It's one of my favorite projects! I know Taryn loved the bags and so did my sister....being on of her brides maids she was really excited to get a baby clutch!

Hey!
This is a really great organization a friend of mine has been involved in for years. I know GOTR is everywhere and it just such a positive organization to be involved it. Although I don't run much, I'm getting involved by helping to re-cycle/ up-cycle old GOTR shirts into usable totes while donating a portion of the sale to the organization. It's a win win really, we get to advertise GOTR, help the organization, and I get to be crafty along the way. I've attached some pictures of the bags I've made, along with a link to my friends site. If you have any questions just let me know. Thanks!!!

Recycled ACU Diaper Bag
If
you have a loved one serving in the army and another loved one who
requires a lot of 'things' here's the answer... A Diaper Bag made out of
worn ACU's. I've up-cycled a jacket and pants into a durable and
fashionable diaper bag. I'm now taking orders. Each bag is $78 unless
you provide the ACUs in which you'll get 15% off discount! This is just
such a sweet way to honor your husbands and loved ones while caring for
the little ones in your family.
I used as much from the jacket and pants as I could. The flap of the bag is the front of the jacket where you can personalize your bag with your name, rank, or something else cute that reflects your family. One of the side pockets is from the arm pocket which is a perfect size for a baby bottle. The other side has the back pant pocket that is perfect to keep extra pacifiers in and button close so they won't fall out.
